Arpe Towels x CIM Project: The First Inclusive Expedition to Everest Base Camp

In the world of sports and inclusion, there are milestones that inspire and leave a lasting mark. One of these is CIM Project's achievement, the Inclusive Mountain Club that made history by organizing the World's First Inclusive Expedition to Everest Base Camp. An extraordinary adventure that not only challenges physical and mental limits but also proves that the highest mountain in the world can be a space for inclusion, achievement, and transformation.

The project brought together a diverse group of people with different abilities and conditions, including fibromyalgia, autism, and paralysis. The expedition, which aimed for the iconic Everest Base Camp at over 5,300 meters of altitude, carried a clear message: inclusion and teamwork can overcome any summit.

The challenge: an inclusive expedition above 5,000 meters

Organizing and carrying out an expedition to the Himalayas is, in itself, a monumental challenge. However, CIM Project went even further, integrating people with disabilities and diverse conditions into this unique experience. Among the participants was an individual with paralysis who completed the route thanks to a Joelette chair, designed for extreme terrains.

Over days of treks, altitude changes, and extreme temperatures, the team demonstrated unwavering willpower and a spirit of perseverance. Every step, beyond being an individual achievement, represented a collective commitment: to make visible that the mountains belong to everyone.

Arpe towels: our small contribution to a great cause

At Arpe, we firmly believe in sustainability, teamwork, and transformative iniciatives like CIM Project. So, when Mayte Serrat, the president of CIM Project, contacted us to share this incredible adventure, we didn't hesitate to join in and contribute to this historic expedition with our microfiber towels.

These towels, designed to be lightweight, compact, and quick-drying, were the perfect companions on an expedition where every gram matters. Their ability to repel sand and occupy minimal space in backpacks made them essential for the team of adventurers. But our collaboration goes beyond the product; it is also a commitment to a more inclusive and sustainable world. We are proud to know that our towels were part of this transformative experience, accompanying the CIM Project team every step of the way.

An example of perseverance and hope

The CIM Project has not only left its mark on the Himalayas, but also on all of us. This inclusive expedition is a reminder that, with effort, solidarity, and empathy, no summit is unreachable.

From Arpe, we want to congratulate the team on this historic achievement. We feel deeply inspired by their bravery and determination. This adventure has not only shown that mountains can be inclusive, but has also taught us the value of collaboration and respect for each person's unique abilities.

We will continue supporting projects that, like this one, are committed to a better, more inclusive, and sustainable world. Congratulations, CIM Project!
